About the Founder
LaKeisha (Keisha) Hawkins is the founder of Roadmap to a FULL Ride. Her love for people, especially the youth, prompted her to take action when she realized that many students were missing out on various opportunities including getting into their top college choices and finding resources to fund their education.
LaKeisha Hawkins is also a financial consultant with an 850 credit score. She has assisted many individuals and couples with budgeting and credit repair. As an entrepreneur, a motivational speaker, talent manager, and mentor, she has helped numerous individuals achieve their career, financial, and college dreams. Currently, LaKeisha is also the CEO of FaithPlusWorks Consulting, LLC.
She is a 1998 graduate of Norfolk State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Management. In 2002, she graduated from Troy State University with a Master of Public Administration. As a contracting officer/specialist for the federal government for over 22 years, LaKeisha specialized in contract management, market research, information technology, financial negotiations, small business consulting, etc.
LaKeisha has helped several families prepare for college, obtain scholarships, and solidify admission to the colleges of their choice since Roadmap to a FULL Ride was established. Her attention to detail, dedication to empowering others, and her warm and welcoming spirit keeps families engaged and connected throughout the process.
